OVERVIEW
The Hankook AM06 is a highway terrain, all season tire manufactured for commercial vehicles. This model was made for all axle positions of the vehicle.
The tire boosts the all weather traction with the ideal tread design of the 2-step lug pattern and the all season compound. The ribbed tread block placement with the circumferential and lateral grooves enhances the grip on the road surface with additional biting edges. The durable compound keeps the rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures, increasing the summer and winter weather traction during the performance. The groove placement allows the tire to disperse water and slush from the footprint, avoiding hydroplaning in wet conditions.
The maintained surface contact improves the surface contact while the tires are in motion. This allows the tire to upgrade the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In other words, the tire is quicker and more precise in its response to the driver’s commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the tire. The shoulder rib pattern increases the cornering ability by constantly keeping the road contact. This allows the tire to upgrade the cornering and maneuvering ability, optimizing a secure controllability.
The AM06 enhances the tread life as well. The stabilized tread block pattern allows the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure across the tread area. The equally circulated forces of acceleration, cornering and braking prevent irregular wear formations along the footprint. On the other hand, the stronger compound prevents premature wear formations, while it also protects the tire from tread damage. This reduces the treadwear rate, and combats the tread’s chipping, cracking and tearing. This combination greatly improves the service and tread life.
